KGAL signs up to UN Global Compact

As engineers specialising in mechanical, electrical, structural and hydraulic engineering for renewable energy (tidal energy and hydropower) we are imbued with the objectives of sustainablity: satisfying present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This led us to look at our values in repect of other considerations: the way we treat staff and the people who work for us, our respect for the culture and practices of people in the places where we work, and our obligations of transparency and good governance.

All of these sit within the ten principles of the United Nations Gobal Compact and so it seemed appropriate for us to join and thereby "embrace, support and enact, within our sphere of influence, a set of core values in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption".
